PLANNING BOAFfi MEETING <br />April 11, 1932 <br />A meeting of the Planning board was held in the Conference <br />Room of the Town Office Building, Monday, April ll, 1932, at 8:00 <br />P. M. Liessrs. Emery, Glynn, Milne and Luffy were present. The <br />Town Engineer and the secretary were also present. <br />A letter was received from the secretary of the Heading <br />Planning Board asking for a key map for future development of <br />Lexington. He was informed by letter that we have no map of this <br />sort and that we were sending him a cops of our Zoning Laws with <br />map attached. <br />The prcvject of Town Forests was discussed. There are about <br />eight acres of land around the Old Reservoir and three and nine - <br />tenths at Bo,.°rman Park. The land pit the rear of the Westview <br />Cemetery is not to be called a forest but just used to keep the <br />trees for transplanting. Around the reservoir they could be used <br />to fill up the spaces and shade the pond, but would not be planted <br />for timber. tr. Emery stated that he thought Town Forests were <br />large areas set apart to be used for parks and picnics. The Board, <br />In suggesting the areas named, only considered property owned by <br />Town <br />the Town. Vine Brook area was suggested., but Spruce and Pine, Forests <br />the trees which are furnished by the State, grow.on solid ground. <br />The State night not be furnishing trees in a few years so it would <br />be wise to start this project soon. <br />The Town Engineer presented a plan showing the Fuller and <br />Morey properties on North Hancock Street. This is the.only land <br />in that locality which has not been developed. The Fuller property <br />
