I mery, milne, Duffy, scheibe,-aynin, <br />Town Engineer Cosgroveandcleric. <br />The held July Ifith was discussed. It was <br />.hearing <br />found that the Board of Appeals, at their Ming held Sept. <br />12th, were taking up the Sean petition also. The PI —140- Bean <br />Pet'itforL <br />Board voted unanimously not to change the zoning law,,ths <br />reason being that there is no.condition there demanding a <br />change in.zoning'because the golf nourses and ranges come <br />under variations in zoning. <br />The miniature.golf courses cause traffic jams, <br />damage surrounding residential property and.are generally <br />N11niature <br />objected to by neighbors, but on the other hand, it is a <br />clean, profitable game and just a fad# It is thought :that Golf <br />_ <br />permits for these courses should .be made yearly instead of <br />permanently. This is 'going to be brought up by the <br />Federation of Planning Boards, <br />Two cheoks,received from C. I. Herbert and D. J. <br />O'Connell (Bean) for $20.00 each, were turned over to the <br />Town Treasurer,, <br />The Smith hearing was discussed. A Aayout of <br />Harriet W. <br />Valley Road was studied and debated. The Board opposes <br />the change in zoning unless it is absolutely necessary Smith He2rfln <br />but thinks that this section is going to be a business <br />center sometime and that the whole area should be`,*on• <br />sidered, If this corner along is changed, it will deerease <br />the value of the other corner&* It was voted unanimously <br />that another hearing should be hold to consider the other <br />corners* <br />Oakland Street Extension layouts were studied Oakland St. <br />and explained by the Town Engineer. The Board decided, not Extension` <br />to vote on the layout until they have some idea of the cost, <br />If the cost of the present layout Is too much for the Town, " <br />another one should be drawn up. <br />A letter was written Daniel J. O'Connell informing <br />him that the Board voted not to recommend the change in Bean <br />zoning on the Bean property because there was not sufficient Hearing <br />- <br />need of the change, <br />the meeting; ras adjourned at 10;30 P.
