7777 7_ <br />r <br />v <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />Lexington, Mass. <br />May -26, 1930. <br />Present:- Emery, Glynn, Dutler, Milne, #fuffy,Town Engineer <br />and Clerk. <br />Eugene Kraetzer has asked to have the zonin <br />Triangle at <br />law on the triangle at Woburn Street and Fletcher Avenue <br />W urSt' - <br />F?etcier Ave- <br />changed from a single family dwelling to a business area. <br />His idea is to build a block of stores and have the <br />surrounding storekeepers move into the block. A letter <br />was written him stating that he must file a petition for <br />same. <br />The petition from Mr. Floyd A. Bradstreet of <br />Blossom Street to continue the manufacture•of soft drinks <br />gg <br />Fe�Mreet <br />was acted on. A letter was written him saying that we <br />could do nothing about it until he petitioned the Board <br />to change the zoning law of his district from an R1 district <br />to a C1 business district. <br />The Town Engineer was asked to have a topography <br />layout showing the location for the new school house on <br />Allen street ready for the next meeting. <br />Petition was received from Harriette W. Smith <br />of 164 Bedford Street which had been_sIgned by surrounding <br />Harriet W. <br />owners stating that they had no objection to having the <br />Smith <br />land at the Corner of Vglley Road and Bedford street <br />Petition <br />placed in a business zone. A letter was written Messrs. <br />G. F. & C. F. Smith stating that nothing further can be <br />done until Valley Road is established as a Town, way`., <br />Mr. Daniel,J. O'Connelli attorney for Ethel W. <br />Bean, 241 Bedford Street, wrote a letter to the Board <br />Ethel W. Bean <br />expressing the desire of his client to have her land' <br />placed in a business zone. A letter was written him' <br />Petition <br />saying that a petition would have to be signed by surround- <br />ing land owners. <br />Seeing that the last two petitions were requesting <br />changes to be made on Bedford Street, it was decided that <br />both.hearings would be held on the same night. <br />It was voted that people who petition: for a' <br />$20..00 <br />change of the zoninglaws 'must pa a fee of 620:00. This <br />Hea7ling <br />amount will go towards the cost of printing and registering <br />Charge <br />the mail notices of the hearings. With this charge, it <br />is thought, that people will not petition-these,changes <br />unless there is really something behind it. <br />
