PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />LFMNGTON, MASS. <br />April 270 1926. <br />Present: Chairman Emery, Messrs, Glynn, Worthen, <br />Freeman, Duffy and Milne. <br />1. Discussion of areas susceptible to improvement <br />by reason of brook lowering,ete. These areas outlined <br />on map. <br />2.. Schofield presented a Mr. Boss, who had plans of <br />an apartment house for corner of Waltham St. and Vine <br />Brook Road and welted business district extended about <br />99 ft. farther on Vine Brook Road to accomodate it. He <br />was asked to present his plea and plans in more definite <br />form. Board did not appear very favorable toward such <br />a change. <br />3. L. Ryder asked the Board's approval of request to <br />establish a business district at Lowell, North, and <br />Blanchard Streets, The Board voted unanimously to <br />approve this, and Mr. Ryder agreed to do the necessary <br />work for the hearing, etc. Mr. Ryder agreed to grant <br />any land for widening,etc., to protect the highway <br />development. <br />4. Presented to the Selectmen the drafts of <br />explanatory discussions of the sewer assessment and <br />drainage acts to be published with the warrant for <br />the May 13 meeting. Also urged that a comprehensive <br />scheme for land, street, and brook development be <br />completed before expenditures were made on work in <br />the critical drainage areas. <br />Adjourned 11.45 P.M. <br />D <br />W.
