Sept. 15, 1924. <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING. <br />The first Fall meeting of the Planning Board was held on Monday <br />evening, Sept. 15th., at 8 otclock, there being present Messrs. <br />Emery, Tilton, Duffy, and 71. D. Brown, as well as Chairman Burn- <br />ham of the Board of Selectmen and Town Engineer French. <br />PARKER STREET EXTENSION. <br />Mr. Burnham ststes that the necessary hearings have <br />been held and that a Town Meeting is to be called on Oct. 6, <br />when the project will be urged. <br />Mr. Emery declares it the feeling of the Planning <br />Board that this and all new street takings be put through <br />under the Betterment Act; the few legal cases that might arise <br />serving to establish a sound basis on which damages and bet- <br />terments may be awarded. <br />LIBERTY HEIGHTS. <br />Mr. Burnham states the dwellers onCaswell Ave., Milson <br />Ave., Arcadia Ave., and Cliff Ave. desire the Town to ntake <br />over these streets and put them in proper shape, for which <br />they will be willing to contribute one half the expense <br />which has been estimated as follows: - <br />Caswell Ave.Q��'.OG <br />'17ilson Ave. 5000.00 <br />Arcadia Ave. 2600.00 <br />Cliff Ave. 4445.00 <br />GARAGE HEARING. <br />There will be a hearing on Tuesday, Sept. 22. rela- <br />tive to permission to erect a garage in the hill opposite <br />Childts Service Station, East Lexington, the front to be <br />three feet back from the side walk line - the owner claim- <br />ing this to be the only way of locating garage, without <br />which he will be unable to sell his property. <br />The Liberty Heights petitioners will be heard this <br />same evening. <br />STREET MAPS. <br />Mr. French states the maps for streets for which <br />building line agreements have been signed will be completed <br />so that hearings may be held the latter part of October. <br />T01`7N MAP. <br />The completion of the large Town Map hinges on ob- <br />taining a draughtsman, but Mr. French assures the Board it <br />will be finished this year. <br />11W MISCELLANEOUS. <br />Various matters are discussed informally, including <br />the problem of Building Inspector, the Waltham Street situa- <br />tion, the electrification of the steam railroad and the mat- <br />
