April 25, 1924, <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING. <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Board was held in the Selectmen's <br />ROOM on Friday evening, April St, at 7%45 o'clock; there being present <br />Messrs. Emery, Duffy, Tilton, Worthen, LSS. and W.D. Brown. <br />WADMAN <br />DEVELOP hNT. <br />In response to letters sent by the Secretary, relative to <br />a harmonious development of the Madman and adjoining proper- <br />ties, the following gentlemen sat in with the Planning Board, <br />Messrs, Blake, Wadman, Merriam, Custance, Earle, Kraetzer, <br />Fish and Wheeler. <br />All evinced interest in the purpose of the conferdnee, <br />expressed a, willingness to cc-operate as far as might be, <br />and freely discussed various-possibilities. <br />The suggestion of a connection between Meriam and Hancock <br />Streets, with a branch to Edgewood Road, appeals to all; but <br />it is realized that nithing definite-can_be worked out until <br />topographical data are obtainedby the Town Rngineer. Mr. Gus- <br />tance, for the Selectmen,-promises these shall .be obtained by <br />the Engineering Department and a tentative plan prepared for <br />another meeting to be held next Friday, and the Conference ad- <br />journs at 9/60. <br />LOWER MASS. AVE. <br />SET-BACKS. <br />The Chairman calls attention to the immediate need of se- <br />curing set-back agreements along Lower Bass. 'Ave., and among <br />the names suggested as of persons most likely to secure them <br />Mrs. Maynard's is regarded as the most premising. The Chair- <br />man will see her at once in regard to this. <br />BOSTON POSTAL <br />DISTRICT. <br />Mr. Baker, within a f^w days, will have his report ready. <br />His Inspectors have already been out here,' <br />1,dTTER TO . <br />Maclntosh. <br />The Chairman reads copy of letter sent by him to Mr. Neil' <br />Intosh urging his co-operation in securing better types of <br />residences. <br />Meeting adjourned at 19/0-0. <br />WillardD.
