Hartman and <br />Mr Duffy. <br />BUILDING Lam <br />,COMMITTEE Mrs Castanoe of the Com ttee on Revision of Town <br />Building Laws calls up to say that although that Com ttae has <br />j <br />held its last 'meeting, it will be glad to consider any Witter <br />that the Planning Board may,want included.. <br />TM MEETING <br />Cdr. mtery states that zthj Selectmendesire 'the Special TOwat <br />Nee ting to be called for February 18th, and 'tha.t, they wish to <br />'Include n the warrant tither matters than zoning. Mr.,gartman <br />reports that he understands the Attorney-p4eneral prefers Zoning <br />to be considered in A meeting called solely for that purpose;, but <br />inquiry at his office discloses that no ruling to this effect <br />has ever been made. <br />NO ADDITION <br />TONDEFINITIONS <br />Mr Hartman's Revised By-Laws are then taken up and eon- <br />sideration is given.the suggestion of mr. John Fox that to the <br />definitions set forth should be added somethingto the effect thatt <br />"reference is made to the Building Laws. of -the Town for 'any neves- <br />sary definitions not above covered*" It seemed best to the>Board, <br />however,, to avoid tying up the Zoning By»Laws to the Building <br />Laws,. and as ,all appeared clear as' written, there seemed no rsason: <br />for following out this suggestion, and the definitions stand as <br />written. <br />MANUFACTURING ZONE` <br />A letter from Mr. Bassett reviewing the proposed draft ad- <br />vises the inclusion of a small manufacturing section as a measure <br />of safety. This feeling having also been brought out at the <br />hearings and elsewhere, the Board decides to add such asection <br />to be listed and described as follows: <br />* <br />M I Light manufacturing, employing eleetricity for a motive <br />power, u%Aliting hand labor and/or quiet machinery and procea`sest ., <br />free from neighborhood disturbing odors 'and/or agencies 'and em+ <br />ploying not more than twenty employees, in any single and segre- <br />gated building unit, is permitted within any, manufacturing zone♦ <br />It was decided also to set aside for the purpose of light <br />
