133 <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />March 28, 1949 <br />A meeting of the Board of Selectmen was <br />held in the Selectmen's Room on Monday evening, <br />March 28, 1949 at 7:30 P.M. prior to the Adjourned <br />Town Meeting. Chairman Emery, Messrs. Gay, Nicker- <br />son and Hoyt were present. The Clerk was also present. <br />Mr. Carroll, Town Clerk, left the jury box in <br />the custody of the Clerk of the Board due to the <br />fact that he was busy with his duties in connection Juror <br />with the Adjourned Town Meeting. <br />Mr. Harry W. Litchfield, Milk Dealer,. 1949 <br />Massachusetts Avenue, was drawn to serve on criminal <br />business beginning April 4, 1949. <br />The Chairman mentioned the appointment to be <br />made to the Board of Health. <br />Mr. Gay moved that Dr. William L. Cosgrove be <br />appointed to fill the unexpired term caused by the <br />resignation of Carl Terhune. Mr. Nickerson seconded <br />the motion. <br />Mr. Hoyt stated that he opposed the appoint- Appointment <br />ment and suggested that action be postponed until to Board <br />all members of the Board are present. Mr. Gay then of Health <br />withdrew his motion and Mr. Nickerson had no object- <br />ion. <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:55 P.M. <br />The next regular meeting of the Board will be <br />held on Tuesday, March 29, 1949. <br />A true record, Attest: <br />
