315 <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />March 29, 1948 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen <br />was held prior to the Adjourned Town Meeting. <br />The Board met in the Selectmen's Room at 7:30 P.M. <br />and the following persons were. present: Chair- <br />man Paxton, Messrs. Emery, Gay., Driscoll and Nick- <br />erson. The Town Counsel and the Clerk were also <br />present. <br />The _Chairman reported that Mr. Garrity, Super- <br />intendent of Parks and Playgrounds, had called <br />him on the telephone relative to the cost of repairing the <br />reviewing stand for the 19th of April celebration. <br />'Mr. Garrity received two quotations. Custance <br />Brothers submitted a figure of636.00 and Mr. Gordon <br />Richards submitted a figure. of $422.00. <br />The Selectmen were in favor of having the stand <br />repaired and voted to award the contract to Mr. Richards: <br />the cost to be charged to the Park Department - <br />Expenses Account. <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:55 P.M. <br />A true record, Attest: <br />�le k, Lectmen. <br />
