SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />March 26, 1945 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was <br />held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on <br />Monday evening, March 26, 1945, at 7:00 P.M. The <br />meeting was held at 7:00 P.M. due to the fact that it <br />was the evening of the Town Meeting also. Chairman <br />Locke, Messrs. Potter, Sarano and Sheldon were present. <br />Mr. Rowse arrived at 7:10 P.M. The Clerk was also <br />present. <br />Letter was received from Frank T. Neal, 53 Kendall <br />Road, Lexington, offering the sum of $50.00 for Lot 53, <br />Section 2, Farmhurst, Kendall Road, Lexington. <br />Mr. Potter presented a map of the Farmcrest section <br />and explained that the Town also owns 41,083 feet of land <br />adjoining this particular lot to which there would be no <br />access if the parcel Mr. Neal wants to buy were sold. <br />Mr. Sheldon moved that the offer be denied, and the <br />reason for such denial explained to Mr. Neal. Mr. Sarano <br />seconded the motion, and it was so voted. <br />A letter was received from Anna Valihura offering <br />$35.00 each for Lots 88, 89, and 90, Valleyfield Street, <br />Lexington. <br />Mr. Potter said that he and Mr. Spencer had looked <br />over these particular lots and recommends accepting the <br />offer. <br />Mr. Sarano moved that a proposal to sell the lots <br />be advertised in 'the Lexington Minute -Man, and that further <br />consideration be given the offer at the next meeting of <br />the Board. <br />129 <br />Neal <br />Tax Title <br />Offer <br />Denied <br />Tax <br />Offer <br />Application was received from Lexington Post #3007, <br />Veterans of Foreign Wars Corp. for permission to conduct <br />a. dance in Cary Memorial Hall on April 5, 1945, from 8:00 P <br />to 12:00 P.M. <br />Mr. Sarano moved that the use of the hall be. granted, <br />and considered oneā¢_of the six free uses. Mr. Sheldon - <br />seconded the motion, and it was so voted. <br />Bond in the amount of $1,000.00 on behalf of <br />Edward C. Maguire as Constable in the Town of Lexington <br />fora period ending April, 1946 was received. <br />Mr. Sheldon moved that the bond be approved.
