190 <br />Aircraft <br />etc. <br />Insur- <br />ance <br />Article <br />34 <br />Bonds <br />signed <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />March 15, 1943 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held <br />on Monday evening, March 15, 1943, at 7:30 P.M. Chairman <br />Rowse, Messsrs. Potter, Locke, Sarano, and Sheldon were <br />present. The Clerk was also present. <br />At 7:45 P.M. the following members of the Appropriation <br />Committee appeared before. the Board. Chairman Maynard, <br />Messrs. Bryant, VJinlock, Brown, Hoyt, and White. <br />The Chairman informed the group that he had received <br />a letter from Elmer A. Lord and Company relative to <br />aircraft and motor vehicle property damage insurance. He <br />said that he had discussed the subject with Mr. Paxton <br />who felt that a 50 per cent coverage would be sufficient. <br />The Chairman explained that for a 50 per cent coverage on <br />Town buildings, with the exception of the Barnes property <br />and the sewer pumping building, the premium would be ap- <br />proximately $396.47. He said that it would be necessary <br />to increase the Insurance appropriation from $5,525.00 to <br />$5,925.00. <br />Mr. Sarano moved that the amount of $400.00 be added <br />to the Insurance item. Mr. Sheldon seconded:the motion, <br />and it was so voted. <br />Chairman Maynard polled the Appropriation Committee <br />and they voted in favor Of increasing the Insurance <br />budget by $400.00. <br />The Chairman said that the Board of Selectmen would <br />like to have the Appropriation Committee take a definite <br />stand on Article 34 relative to the so-called old Adams <br />School Lot. He explained that the Board of Selectmen had <br />voted for an indefinite postponement on this Article. <br />Upon motion of Mr. Hoyt, seconded by Mr. Bryant, <br />the Appropriation Committee voted for an indefinite post- <br />ponement of Article 34. <br />A bond in the sum of $48,000.00 issued by the American <br />Employers' Insurance Company on behalf of James J. Carroll <br />as Town Treasurer was received. <br />Mr. Potter moved that the Selectmen approve the bond <br />Mr. Locke seconded the motion, and it was so voted. <br />The Public Official Bond issued by the American Em- <br />ployers' Insurance Company in the amount of $1,000.00 in <br />behalf of James J. Carroll as Town Clerk was received. <br />Mr. Potter moved that the Selectmen approve the bond. <br />Mr. Locke seconded the motion, and it was so voted. <br />ZZ <br />P <br />1 <br />
