This Trust <br />does not include the Herbert Hilton Trust Fund now Funds <br />amounting to 34,627.13. <br />Mr. Saran moved that the Lexington Committee on <br />Public Safety be authorized to remove the Report Center <br />to the Engineers' Room and that they be authorized to Report <br />have the Police Department take full charge of telephone Center <br />calls from the Newton Warning Center. Mr. Locke seconded <br />the motion, and it was so voted. <br />The following communication was received from Miss <br />Eleanor M. Lowe.Clerk of the Board of Selectmen: <br />Lexington, Mass. <br />January 11, 1943. <br />Board of Selectmen <br />Lexington, Mass. <br />Gentlemen: <br />It is with sincere regret that I submit my res- <br />ignation as an employee of the Town of Lexington, effect- <br />ive on January 23, 1943. I leave the Town's employ to <br />take a position in a long established New England concern <br />Which offers excellent opportunity for advancement. <br />I have always enjoyed working with the present <br />Board of Selectmen, and wish to thank each member for the <br />personal interest and kindness shown ma. <br />I shall be very glad to help both the Selectmen <br />and Miss Murray in any way that I can after I leave here, <br />arid wish both to feel free to call on me at any time for <br />such assistance as I am able to give. <br />Sincerely yours, <br />/s/ Eleanor M. Lowe <br />Clerk, Selectmen. <br />It was then VOTED: That the Board of Selectmen accepts <br />with deep regret the resignation of Miss Eleanor M. Lowe <br />as Clerk of the Board. Miss Lowe has served the Town for <br />seventeen years, eight of those years as Clerk of the Board. <br />It is only that the Board believes it cannot stand in the <br />way of her further progress that prevents it from making <br />additional effort in keeping her in the service of the Town. <br />She has served the Town faithfully and with great ability. <br />The Board expresses its appreciation in behalf of the Town <br />of Lexington. <br />
