Lexington Tree Committee Minutes <br /> June 14, 2018, 7:30 AM <br /> DPW, 201 Bedford Street, Room 125 <br /> • Jim Wood was appointed as scribe and the minutes of April 11, 2018 and <br /> May 10, 2018 were approved as amended. <br /> Members Present: Chris Filadoro,(Tree Warden) Gerry Paul, Jewel Kujilian, Pat Moyer, <br /> Jim Wood, Anne Senning, John Frey (Chair) <br /> Selectman Liaison: Jill Hai <br /> Guests : City of Salem, MA Tree Commission, Darleen Melis, Sandi Power, Polly <br /> Wilbert <br /> • Tree Committee welcomes Selectman Jill Hai as Selectman Liasison. She <br /> will attend on an as needed basis. <br /> • Tree Committee congratulates Chris Filadoro and Joel Custance on their <br /> completion of Tree Warden and Certification. <br /> • Tree Inventory has continued with a $50,000 contract. Two year program, <br /> first year, will address street trees, second year Parks, Bikeway, Other. International <br /> Society of Arborists (ISA) risk assessment form will be used. Two people are working on <br /> the inventory. <br /> • Chris Filadoro will email out Monday the List of Locations/Species/date <br /> planted in Spring/Fall 2017 and Spring 2018. Contractor Failed tree plantings are <br /> replaced on an as needed basis. <br /> • Chris reviewed with the Tree Committee the previous approvals for tree <br /> removal that he had authorized at the number 11 and 15 Fulton Road lots. He will <br /> confirm that his direction was followed. <br /> Gerry noted that our Tree Mitigation fund was substantially down. Chris concurred said <br /> more contractor/builder tree plantings could account for this. <br /> Tree committee raised issue of Webb Street (off of Woburn). What is the situation. Chris <br /> said the Contractor owns a 25 foot right of way to the property that he has filed a <br /> Development Plan for. He will review status of the activity. <br /> 6A. Grove Street Development. Comments-Being done by Northeast Development, good <br /> company. Chris has reviewed plans and informed them they could not remove trees on <br /> the Right of Way without Tree Wardens permission. Chris recommended Right of Way <br /> trees be evaluated which they did. A Tree Hearing will be required. <br />
