Lexington Housing Partnership <br /> Meeting Minutes for Tuesday, April 9, 2018 <br /> Attendees: Harriet Cohen, Nancy Corcoran-Ronchetti,Jeri Foutter, Mary Haskell, Paul Linton, Wendy <br /> Manz, Rich McDonough, Melinda Walker, Betsey Weiss <br /> Absent: Bob Pressman <br /> The meeting was chaired by Melinda Walker and minutes were taken by Harriet Cohen.The meeting <br /> was called to order at 7:38 pm. <br /> 1. Discussion of Article 42:Citizen's Article: "Special Permit Residential Developments/All <br /> Ms. Walker reviewed the process of town-appointed boards and committees providing statements <br /> at Town Meeting on articles that are relevant to the charter of the boards or committees. <br /> Ms. Corcoran-Ronchetti reviewed the discussion at Planning Board on the evening of April 2, 2018 at <br /> which the final version of the Article 42 was presented. At the meeting, Mr. Hornig discussed the <br /> updated information in the article and expressed several reservations about the proposal.There was <br /> further discussion about the article at the Planning Board. <br /> Ms. Weiss moved and Mr. McDonough seconded the following motion:The Partnership wants to <br /> take a position on Article 42 for presentation at Town Meeting. <br /> The motion passed with 7 in favor and 2 abstentions (Ms. Haskell and Ms. Corcoran-Ronchetti). <br /> Ms. Walker read a statement from Mr. Pressman who was unable to attend the meeting. <br /> The discussion centered around the concerns that, based on the experience of the LHP members <br /> and on the letter from Mr. Farrington, developers would not build developments under the Special <br /> Permit Residential Development zoning as proposed in Article 42. <br /> Betsey will send out the draft position statement for review. Please send comments directly to <br /> Betsey by Friday, April 6. Ms. Weiss will compile the comments and update the draft. Ms. Cohen will <br /> assist Ms. Weiss if requested. Ms.Walker will verify that we can vote by email. If that is the case, <br /> the LHP will vote on the updated draft. If not, a meeting of the Partnership will be needed prior to <br /> April 9 at S:30 pm (the last time that position statements can be submitted). <br /> 2. Meeting Adjournment <br /> Ms. Weiss moved adjournment of the meeting; Ms. Cohen seconded the motion.The motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br />
