Lexington Housing Partnership <br /> Meeting Minutes for Tuesday, January 9, 2018 <br /> Attendees: Harriet Cohen,Jeri Foutter, Paul Linton, Rich McDonough, Melinda Walker, Betsey Weiss <br /> Absent: Nancy Corcoran-Ronchetti, Mary Haskell, Wendy Manz, Bob Pressman <br /> The meeting was chaired by Melinda Walker and minutes were taken by Harriet Cohen <br /> 1. Approval of minutes November 14,2017 <br /> The LHP agreed on several changes to the minutes. The minutes, as amended,were approved <br /> unanimously. <br /> 2. Reminder: Manor House Lottery on January 29, 2018/Ms.Walker <br /> Ms. Walker reminded the LHP that the Manor House lottery will be on January 29 at Cary Hall. Ms. <br /> Nancy Corcoran-Ronchetti will be pulling the numbers. Mr. Linton added that tomorrow is the <br /> deadline for applicants for the lottery. <br /> 3. LexHAB Report/ Mr. Pressman <br /> Ms. Walker contacted Mr. Pressman and he reported the following: <br /> The Zoning Board of Appeals hearing was held for the 6 units at Busa Farm and ZBA approved the <br /> units. Bids have not yet gone out. LexHAB will request additional CPA funds through town meeting. <br /> Also, last night at the Board of Selectmen's (BoS) meeting, the BoS approved LexHAB's request to <br /> spend not more than $420,000 to buy a unit at Emerson Gardens.The unit will be used as a rental <br /> unit for affordable housing. LexHAB is funding the purchase. <br /> 4. Pine Grove Report/ Ms.Walker <br /> The deal for Judge's Way has closed. <br /> S. Spring Town Meeting:What's Up/ALL <br /> Currently,the only Town Meeting agenda item related to affordable housing is the request by <br /> LexHAB for funding for the 6 Busa Farm units. <br /> 6. MetroWest/New Ideas for Collaboration/ALL <br /> Jennifer Van Campen asked for ideas re LHP and MetroWest collaboration. LHP did not have any <br /> suggestions. <br /> 7. New Business <br /> Mr. McDonough reported that National Development, a Newton based developer, met with the <br /> Planning Board,the BoS, and the Town Manager to introduce a proposal for a senior housing <br /> development on land the Belmont Country Club is planning to sell. Lexington has the right of first <br /> refusal on this land. <br /> 8. Set next meeting date <br /> The next meeting will be on Feb. 20 at 7:30. <br /> 9. Meeting adjournment <br /> Ms. Weiss moved adjournment and Ms. Foutter seconded the motion.The motion was approved <br /> unanimously. <br />
