88: <br />Jurors <br />Claim <br />Warrant <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />January 2, 1963 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was <br />held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, <br />on Wednesday, January 2, 1963, at 7:30 P.M. Chairman <br />Adams, Messrs. Ccs, Richards, Brown and Burnell were <br />present. Mr. Legro, Town Counsel, and Miss Murray, <br />Executive Clerk, were also present. <br />Miss Mary R. McDonough, Assistant Town Clerk, <br />met with the Board for the drawing of two jurors. <br />The following individuals were drawn for jury duty: <br />Gerald L. Landau, 65 Turning Mill Road, and Joseph C. <br />Basso, Jr., 1932 Massachusetts Avenue. <br />Miss McDonough retired. <br />Mr. Legro referred to an accident that occurred <br />on December 13, 1962, north of Grove Street on Route <br />128, involving a police cruiser, and reported that <br />the estimated damages to the other car involved is <br />$266.30. He stated that the report indicated no <br />claim for personal injuries. Officer Forten has <br />been over the car and found only one small item that <br />is even questionable. Mr.Legro said he has a letter <br />to the Chief in which Officer Fcrten states the esti- <br />mate to be fair and accurate. Mr. Legro advised <br />settlement and said he would obtain the necessary release. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted <br />to authorize Mr. Legro to settle the claim in the amount <br />of $266.30. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was voted <br />to close the Warrant for the Annual Town Meeting in <br />March on January 21, 1963. <br />At 8:10 P.M., Messrs. Logan Clarke and John <br />Blaisdell, of the Appropriation Committee, met with <br />the Board. <br />Following a general discussion pertaining to <br />appropriations for 1963, withparticular reference to <br />the Clarification and Compensation Plan adopted by the <br />Board of Selectmen.on November 26, 1962, Messrs. Clarke, <br />Blaisdell and Legro retired at 9:35 P.M. <br />Mr. Arthur Burrell, Director of Civil Defense, met <br />with the Board, and said the first thing he was concerned <br />
