LJ <br />1 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS <br />October 11, 1979 <br />The Board of 'Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room <br />beginning at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: Woodruff M. Brodhead, acting Chairman <br />Irving H. Mabee <br />Natalie H. Riffin <br />Eric T. Clarke, Associate <br />Clarence D. Turner <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of hearings <br />having been mailed and advertised as required by statute. <br />82 Buckman Dr., Eugene R. & Jeanne Luongo - variance to maintain dwelling as located. <br />33 Hayden Avenue,,Boston Properties - special permit for a standing sign. <br />19 Hayward Ave., Laura L. Persily - variance to build an open deck. <br />238 Wood St., M.L.T. Lincoln Laboratory - special permit and/or variance to construct <br />a two-story addition, which will serve as an office and light electronics laboratory <br />area of same construction as the existing building (used as a field station in the <br />study of electronics and related radar). <br />Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. <br />82 Buckman Dr. - granted unanimously. <br />33 Hayden Ave. - granted unanimously. <br />238 Wood St. - granted unanimously. <br />19 Hayward Ave. —voted unanimously to write a*letter to Ms. Persily. <br />"The Board is withholding its decision with regard to your request and <br />is suggesting that you consult with the Board of Selectmen with respect <br />to the possible purchase of Lot 18, Map 59, which is town owned. If <br />the Selectmen would agree to sell this land to you the appeal for a <br />variance would be unnecessary. If you will be kind enough to notify <br />our office as soon as you know of the Selectmen's opinion in this <br />regard we will finalize our decision. s/s Woodruff M. Miley, Selectmen <br />Chairman in response to letter above. "At the meeting held on 11/19/79, the Board <br />of Selectmen voted to sell and convey to you Lot 18, Map 59, subject to fair market <br />value being established by an appraisal made by the Board of Assessors. As soon as <br />this information is available to us, we will again contact you. s/s Mary W. Miley". <br />12/31/79 The decision re. 19 Hayward Ave. was filed with the Town Clerk. (variance <br />granted) . <br />
