BOARD OF APPEALS <br />April 26, 1979 <br />The Board of Appeals met at 7:15 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room. <br />Present: George P. Wadsworth, Chairman <br />Ruth Morey <br />Thomas G. Taylor <br />William J. Soouler, Associate <br />Clarence D. Turner, Associate <br />Henry F. Quill, Attorney represent George Athanasiadis, requested that the <br />Board reconsider the hours allowed under special permit for use of the property <br />at 1734 Massachusetts Avenue and also to be open for business on Sunday. A <br />hearing was held and decision made by the Board on April 12 at which time hours <br />of operation were set: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and no Sunday business. The chairman <br />had agreed to discuss this matter. A notice was posted with the Town Clerk on <br />April 23, 1979 (see her records). <br />Decision: Denied. (see 1734 Mass. Ave., George Athanasiadis decision filed with <br />Town Clerk). <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of hearings <br />having been mailed and advertised as required by statute. <br />30 Ivan Street, Mils Harold Mortenson - variance to maintain dwelling as presently <br />'located. <br />52 Lowell St., RQsina Busa, Sun Valley Farms - renewal of special permit to operate <br />a roadside stand and permit to sell Christmas trees and wreaths, etc. <br />1-5 Forbes Rd., S.M.M. Realty Corp. - modification of SP with variances granted <br />,March 9, 1978, tc permit construction of 14 additional parking spaces adjacent to <br />the southerly boundary of the premises. <br />(Lot 38) Burlington St. (between 196 Burlington St. & Burlington Town Line), <br />Walter Steeves - variance of dimensional controls for frontage to build a house. <br />192 Woburn St., Robert A. Modoono - renewal of special permit to operate a stand <br />for the sale of evergreens, shrubs, various other plants including annuals, <br />perennials, indoor house plants and flowers and garden supplies on lot abutting <br />192 Woburn St.; also to sell Christmas trees, wreaths, etc. in appropriate season. <br />Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. <br />30 Ivan St. - granted unanimously. <br />52 Lowell St. - granted with conditions (unanimous) - expires 2/14/81. <br />1-5 Forbes Rd. - The Board voted unanimously to allow S.M.M. Realty Corp. to <br />WITHDRAW the request, subject of hearing scheduled today.. <br />Burlington St. lot - denied unanimously. <br />192 Woburn St. - granted with conditions (expires 4/30/81). <br />' The meeting adjourned at 10:02 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Evelyn F.
