BOARD OF APPEALS <br />November 30, 1978 <br />The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room <br />beginning at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: George P. Wadsworth, Chairman <br />Ruth Morey <br />Woodruff M. Brodhead <br />Irving H. Mabee <br />William J. Scouler, Associate <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of hearings <br />having been mailed and advertised as required by statute. <br />Lexington Historical Society - renewal oftemporaryspecial permit allowing the <br />erection, maintenance and use for two additional years of 32 historic (sites) <br />markers in various parts of.Lexington. The first permit was granted in the Fall <br />of 1974, was renewed in 1976 and expires in the Fall of 1978. <br />239 Lowell Street, Richard F. Crawford - variance to construct a carport. <br />Petitioner has been denied a building permit. <br />21 Robbins Road, Gary I and Linda R. Portnay - variance to alter their residence <br />by additions. Petitioners have been denied a building permit. <br />' 12-18 Hartwell Avenue, Michael & Josephine Colangelo - special permits for <br />addition to existing building and for use of the addition for offices. <br />Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. <br />Lexington Historical Society - granted unanimously until the fall of 1980. <br />239 Lowell St. - granted unanimously with conditions. <br />21 Robbins Rd. - denied by vote of 4 to 1 (Mr. Brodhead in favor). <br />12-18 Hartwell Ave. - granted unanimously with conditions. <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />6-.`Xee-ec- <br />Evelyn F.
