BOARD OF APPEALS <br />September 14, 1978 <br />The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's Meeting Room <br />beginning at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: George P. Wadsworth, Chairman <br />Ruth Morey <br />Woodruff M. Brodhead <br />Thomas G. Taylor <br />Robert M. Bowyer, Associate <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of hearings <br />having been mailed and advertised as required by statute. <br />7 Nowers Rd., Richard S. Townsend - for a change in the original variance granted <br />by the Board on Jan. 15, 1953 so that now a one-story frame addition may be con- <br />structed. This addition will be more than 10 ft. from the side property line and <br />will conform with other dimensional controls. <br />4 Weston St., Claude and Marlene K. Sigel - variance to maintain existing dwelling <br />as located. <br />Cedar and Denver Streets <br />136 Cedar St., Harvey W. Newgent and Jean P. Newgent - variance to allow the com- <br />bining of 5 parcels of land at the corner of Cedar and Denver Streets into two <br />buildable lots. Petitioners wish to combine Lots 41 & 42 (also shown as Lot A) <br />' having total frontage of 50' on Cedar St. hand total area of 6,013 sq. ft. and <br />also to combine Lots 38, 39 & 40 (also shown as Lot B) having frontage of 43' on <br />Cedar St. and 125' on Denver St. with an area of 7,553 sq. ft. <br />40 Fern St. (subdivision), Meadowland Association, Inc. - variance from the 125' <br />frontage requirement on Lots A & C so that the subdivision plan submitted to the <br />Planning Board which subdivides the land into four lots can take place. <br />Decisions filed with the Town Clerk. <br />7 Nowers Rd. - unanimously granted with conditions. <br />4 Weston St. - unanimously granted with conditions. <br />136 Cedar St. - unanimously denied. <br />40 Fern St. - withdrawn. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:27 p.m. <br />1 <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Evelyn F.
