BOARD OF APPEALS <br />April 27, 1978 <br />' The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Thursday, April 27, 1981 <br />beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Office Building, Selectmen's Meeting Room. <br />Present: George P. Wadsworth, Chairman <br />Woodruff M. Brodhead <br />Irving H. Mabee <br />Thomas G. Taylor <br />Natalie H. Riffin, Associate <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of hearings <br />having been mailed .and advertised as required by statute. <br />271 Lincoln Street - variance of dimensional controls (CN District), minimum <br />open area, note (h),- to permit construction of a building, having 3,675 sq. ft. <br />of ground coverage with a combined floor area of 5,997 sq. ft. The zoning by-law <br />provides that the combined floor area of all principal and accessory structures <br />shall not exceed 3,000 sq. ft. Jane F. Curtin was the petitioner. <br />544 Lowell St., Lexington Gardens, Inc. - to rescind the special permit granted <br />August 1972 for the use of land and buildings as follows: Change condition 6 <br />of the special permit from "No retail or wholesale business shall be conducted at <br />this location" to: "No retail business shall be conducted at this location". <br />Change condition 9 of the present special permit from "There shall be no trucking <br />before 7:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m. and there shall be no trucking on Sunday, <br />except that petitioner's own truck which is stored on the premises for its own <br />use may be used in emergencies" to delete this condition. This request is being <br />made in order that said property can be sold on the market as a commercial green- <br />house for which it was originally intended. <br />52 Lowell St., John and Rosina Busa - special permit to erect a free-standing sign <br />for identification purposes. This sign will replace the sign on the building. <br />Decisions: The Board made the following decisions, all in open meeting. See <br />decisions filed with the Town Clerk for more details. <br />271 Lincoln St. - granted unanimously with conditions. <br />544 Lowell St. - decision deferred,to be continued June 1, 1978. <br />52 Lowell St. - granted unanimously with conditions. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />' Evelyn F.
