BOARD OF APPEALS <br />May 12, 1977 <br />' The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting on Thursday, May 12, 1977, begin- <br />ning at 7:30 p.m., in the Town Office Building, Selectmen's Meeting Room. <br />Present: George P. Wadsworth, Chairman <br />Ruth Morey, Vice Chairman <br />Irving H. Mabee <br />Thomas G. Taylor <br />Clarence D. Turner, Associate <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices of the hearings <br />having been mailed and hearings advertised in the Lexington Minute -Man newspaper <br />as required by statute. <br />Peter S. Tasker - special permit, pursuant to Section 30.3, to maintain the exist- <br />ing house at 36 Kendall Road with a setback of 25.95 feet instead of the 30 feet <br />required, and to expand the sunroom by extending the foundation to the rear line <br />of the house and adding a second floor. The existing metal garage to the rear of <br />the property will also be removed. <br />Kendrick G. Bushnell and Marcia M. Bushnell - variance of Section 27 to build a <br />two -car garage at 30 Bloomfield Street with a five ft. sideyard instead of the <br />required 15 ft. <br />' Francis A. Cote - variance of Section 27 in order to build a one -car garage and <br />breezeway at 6 Bennett Avenue (corner of Chase Ave.) which will leave a sideyard <br />of 9 1/2 ft. instead of the required 20 ft. from a secondary street. <br />Camillo Sganga variances of Section 27 in order to build a house at 88 Cliffe <br />Avenue on Lots 32 and 33, containing 4,200 sq. ft., a sideyard of 8.33 ft. instead <br />of the required 10 ft., and a frontyard setback of 25 ft. instead of the required <br />30 ft. <br />Stephen I. Owren, D/B/A Lexington Realty and his heirs, successors and assigns - <br />special permit as provided for in Section III, d, of the Sign By-law in order to <br />erect and maintain a special sign upon the premises at 1844 Massachsuetts Avenue, <br />which are under lease by the said petitioner. Specifications for said sign are <br />contained in four drawings and also in the "Certificate of Appropriateness" as <br />issued by the Historic Districts Commission, all submitted with petition to the <br />Board of Appeals. <br />DECISIONS: The Board made the following decisions, all in open meeting. See <br />decisions for details, all in Board of Appeals' files and also filed with the <br />Town Clerk. <br />Tasker - granted unanimously. <br />Bushnell -granted unanimously. <br />Cote - granted, 4 to 1, Thomas G.
