Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notices having <br />been mailed to the proper people and advertised in the newspaper as required. <br />John D. Brucchi - special permit to operate a private riding academy, giving <br />riding lessons and pony rides at 63 Paul Revere Road. (Section 25.21) <br />Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lincoln Laboratory - special permit <br />under Section 30 to erect another tower on property at 238 Wood Street. <br />Marilyn and Luigi R. DiNapoli - variance of Section 27 to build an addition <br />to the house at 62 Taft Avenue with a side yard of 62 feet instead of the <br />required 10 feet. <br />Parker Weaver O.D. - special permit under 25.81 to use a portion of his resi- <br />dence at 29 Pleasant Street for an office for the practice of optometry. <br />The Board made the following decisions, all in open meeting with specta- <br />tors remaining to hear the verdicts. See permits and denial for details. <br />Brucchi - granted (4 to 1) to operate a private riding academy giving riding <br />lessons but not pony rides, subject to the following conditions (summarized): <br />(1) All lessons shall be given by a licensed instructor. <br />(2) Lessons shall be confined to enclosed area as designated on plan. <br />(3) Hours - 7 days a week, during daylight - no lights. <br />(4) Premises shall be kept in a neat and orderly condition. <br />(5) Customer parking shall be off the street on the Brucchi property. <br />(6) All state permits, rules & regulations must be followed. <br />(7) Permit expires May 1, 1977. <br />MIT -Lincoln Lab - granted unanimously (as described and according to plans). <br />DiNapoli - granted unanimously. <br />Weaver - denied unanimously. <br />The permits and denial documents give further detailrr.
