BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />July 31, 1973 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, <br />July 31, 1973 at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room of the Town Office <br />Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members, G. Sheldon, R. <br />Morey, W. Brodhead and G. Wadsworth. Also present was associate member Robert <br />Cataldo, a large audience of townspeople, newspaper reporters, a court steno- <br />grapher and a tape recorder. <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notice having been <br />mailed to the petitioners, to the owners of all property deemed by the Board <br />to be affected thereby as they appear on the most recent local tax list, to <br />town boards and officials who will or might be affected by decisions made, <br />and also advertised in the Lexington Minute -man. <br />Juughi S. and Sungha Kim - variance of sections 27 and 30.3 of the Lexington <br />Zoning By -Law to maintain the present dwelling at 8 Marlboro Road with a set <br />back of 24 ft. instead of 30 ft. and area of 12,500 sq. ft. instead of the <br />required 15,500 ft. and to add a second floor on the present structure which <br />will measure 24 ft. by 49 ft. <br />Robert S. Graves - variance to change the area of lots at 502 and 504 Marrett <br />Road according to plans submitted. <br />' Planning Office for Urban Affairs, Inc. by James G. Dolan, Jr., General <br />Counsel - comprehensive permit under the provisions of Chapter 40B, Sections <br />20-23, for the construction of sixteen town -house type dwelling units upon <br />approximately 97,801 sq. ft. of land located at 56 to 60 Worthen Road, said <br />land being the northwesterly portion of Lot 9A on Map 57 of the Property Map <br />of the Town of Lexington, made by James W. Sewell Company, Old Town, Maine. <br />Construction of this housing is proposed to be financed by the Massachusetts <br />Housing Finance Agency and it is intended that the dwelling units will be <br />made available to persons of low and moderate income, without regard to age, <br />eligible for federal or state subsidy programs. <br />Following the hearings the Board made the following decisions, all in <br />public meeting: <br />Kim - Granted, unanimously. <br />Graves - Granted, unanimously. <br />Planning Office for Urban Affairs, Inc. - Decision deferred by vote of the <br />Board. Adjourned meeting on Tuesday, August 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's <br />Meeting Room of the Town Office <br />Building to continue the executive session <br />to hopefully reach a decision on the petition of the Planning Office for Urban <br />Affairs, Inc.
