BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />' July 11, 1972 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, <br />July 11, 1972 at 7:30 p.m. in the selectmen's meeting room of the Town Office <br />Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Dawes, Wadsworth <br />and Mrs. Morey and associate member Logan Clarke, Jr. <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notice having been <br />mailed to the petitioners, to the owners of all property deemed by the Board <br />to be affected thereby as they appear on the most recent local tax list, to <br />town boards who will or might be affected by decisions made, and also adver- <br />tised in the Lexington Minute -man: <br />Norman C. and Marjorie Fletcher - petition for variances of the Lexington Zon- <br />ing By -Law in order to build an addition to an existing dwelling at 36 Moon <br />Hill Road and to add a third floor to part of the present building. The new <br />addition will have a sideyard of 7 ft. 7' in. instead of the required 15 ft. <br />and the new third floor will have a sideyard of 5 ft. instead of the required <br />15 ft. <br />Arthur N. Landry, Jr. - petition for permission to build a house on Lot 145 <br />which has an area of 90,187 sq. ft. and is located between house numbers 3 and <br />5 on Minute Man Lane with a 40 ft. frontage instead of the required 150 ft. <br />1 Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lincoln Laboratory - petition for <br />special permission under Section 30 of the Zoning By -Law of the Town of Lex- <br />ington in order to erect on its premises at 238 Wood Street an experimental <br />antenna tower located according to drawings submitted. It will consist of a <br />round (10k ft. diameter) steel tower with a spherical dome (26� ft. diameter) <br />housing the antenna. Total height to top of dome will be 80 ft. The tower <br />will be set back about 800 ft. from Wood Street. <br />Ralph D. Cataldo - petition for a variance in order to create a separate lot <br />of part of property at 61 Bow Street with a frontage of 105 ft. instead of the <br />required 15,500 sq. ft. for the purpose of building a single family house <br />according to plans submitted. <br />Ambassador Tuxedos, Inc. - petition for a variance from the zoning by-law to <br />allow for the maintenance of a store for the sale and rental of formal wear <br />and related goods on the first floor of the building at 703 Massachusetts <br />Avenue and for permission to change the lettering on the existing sign on the <br />front of the building from "McGee Flooring" to "Ambassador Tuxedo's". The <br />petitioner has an option to lease the front portion of the first floor of the <br />building (approximately 1,200 sq. ft.) at 703 Massachusetts Avenue. <br />The 115 Kendall Corporation - petition for (1) site plan review and approval <br />for a special permit pursuant to Section 13 and related subsections of the <br />Zoning By -Law of the Town of Lexington, and to make a finding and determina- <br />tion that the proposed placement of buildings, major topographic changes, pro- <br />visions for waste disposal, surface and ground water drainage, erosion control, <br />parking areas, loading areas, maneuvering areas, driveways, and the location of <br />intersections of driveways and streets will constitute a suitable development <br />and will not result in substantial detriment to the neighborhood; and (2) <br />
