BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />April 18, 1972 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, <br />April 18, 1972 at 7:30 p.m. in Room G15 of the town office building. Present <br />Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Dawes and Wadsworth, and <br />associate members Ruth Morey and Irving H. Mabee. <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notice having been <br />mailed to the petitioners, to the owners of all property deemed by the Board <br />to be affected thereby as they appear on the most recent local tax list, to <br />town boards who will or might be affected by decisions made, and also adver- <br />tised in the Lexington Minuteman: <br />Four Star Realty Trust - a variance in order to maintain the residence at <br />524 Marrett Road, Lexington, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, which resid- <br />ence does not have adequate setback or side yard as required by the Lexington <br />Zoning By -Law. <br />Four Star Realty Trust - a variance to maintain the residence at 17 Middle <br />Street, Lexington, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, which residence does not <br />have adequate setback as required by the Lexington Zoning By -Law. <br />Continental Trust - permission to erect and maintain a sign approximately <br />three feet high and twenty feet long on the easterly side of the building <br />located at 703 Massachusetts Avenue. Continental Trust is the owner of the <br />' property. <br />Ralph Cataldo - permission to erect a steel framed building approximately <br />eighty-five feet long and thirty-eight feet wide on the premises located at <br />61 Bow Street. The building shall be used for the storage of farm equipment <br />and supplies. <br />Florence Luongo - permission to erect and maintain a roadside stand on the <br />property located at 53 Pleasant Street. The petitioner is the owner of the <br />property. <br />Amy Samoylenko (The Lexington Mews) - a special permit under Section 25 of <br />the Lexington Zoning By -Law to operate and maintain a theatre and restaurant <br />as provided under Section 12.2 of said By -Law. They will be located in the <br />building to be constructed at 10 Muzzey Street. <br />Following the hearings the Board made the following decisions, all in <br />open meeting: <br />Four <br />Star <br />Realty <br />Trust <br />- 524 Marrett Road <br />- granted. <br />Four <br />Star <br />Realty <br />Trust <br />- 17 Middle Street <br />- granted. <br />Continental Trust - granted by a vote of 4 to 1, Mrs. Morey voting in opposition. <br />The following conditions were imposed: <br />1. A background shall be provided for the sign so it will not project above <br />the roof line. <br />2. The sign may be of metal frame with plastic front and be illuminated from <br />the interior. <br />
