BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />February 15, 1972 <br />' A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on <br />Tuesday, February 15, 1972 at 7:30 p.m. in the selectmen's meeting room <br />of the Town Office building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular <br />members Abbott, Dawes, Sheldon and Wadsworth and a large audience of <br />town's people interested in the public hearings scheduled for this <br />evening. <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notice having <br />been mailed to the petitioners and to the owners of all property deemed <br />by the Board to be affected thereby as they appear on the most recent <br />local tax list, to town boards who will or might be affected by decisions <br />made, and also advertised in the Lexington Minute -man: <br />Wilson Farm, Inc. - permission to continue to operate a roadside stand at <br />10 Pleasant Street. <br />Oscar W. Carlson - permission to use the street line of the presently <br />laid out Grant Street rather than the street line of the old Grant Street <br />layout for 92 and 94 Grant Street, lots having sufficient area and frontage <br />on the old Grant Street. <br />Arnold and Amelia Falcione - permission to vary the zoning by-law in order <br />to build a garage on their property at 386 Marrett Road which will leave <br />a side yard of 8 ft. instead of the required 10 ft. <br />Miss Paulette Gomes and Mrs. Louis Gomes - permission to operate a nursery <br />school for no more than ten children in Mrs. Gomes' residence located at <br />10 Chadbourne Road. <br />Frank Bateman - variance to allow forthe maintenance of a store for the <br />sale of home decorating services and related goods at 703 Massachusetts <br />Avenue and to erect and maintain a sign approximately 2' x 26' on front of <br />the building. The applicant has entered an agreement to lease a portion <br />of the premises now occupied by the McGee Flooring Company. <br />W. R. Grace & Co., Industrial Chemicals Group - a finding and determination <br />concerning the proposed construction of a research laboratory building on <br />the property owned by W. R. Grace & Co. which fronts on Hayden Avenue and <br />the issuance of a special permit as specified in section 25 of the by-law. <br />Following the hearings the Board made the following decisions in open <br />meeting: <br />Wilson Farm, Inc. - granted, subject to 5 conditions as follows: <br />1. That the premises shall be kept in a neat and orderly condition. <br />2. That no cars shall be allowed to park on Pleasant Street. <br />3. That no flood lights shall be installed. <br />4. That the provisions of section 25.33 for roadside stands shall be com- <br />plied with as specified in the zoning by-law (August 1971). <br />5. That this permit shall expire March 1, 1974. <br />Oscar W. Carlson - granted. <br />Arnold and Amelia Falcione - granted. <br />
