BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />July 13, 1971 <br />' A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on <br />Tuesday, July 13, 1971 at 7:30 p.m. in the selectmen's meeting room, The <br />Bird Room, Cary Memorial Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, <br />regular members Abbott, Dawes and Wadsworth, and associate member Reed. <br />Public hearings were held on the following petitions, notice hav- <br />ing been mailed to the petitioners and to the owners of all property deemed <br />by the Board to be affected thereby as they appear on the most recent local <br />tax list and also advertised in the Lexington Minute -man: <br />Robert W. Crooke - for permission to erect and maintain a sign 17" <br />x 25" on the building bracket for the Grueninger Travel Service at <br />14C Muzzey Street. <br />Vaughan K. and Margaret Bogosian - for permission to operate an <br />electrical contracting business in the existing building at 640 Lowell St. <br />Robert A. Bowyer - for a variance to maintain the present dwelling <br />and garage at 7 Woodcliffe Road and to build an addition with insufficient <br />front yard and side yard. <br />John D. Hodge - for a variance of the Zoning By -Law to allow the <br />construction of an addition consisting of a second story bedroom to the <br />' existing dwelling at 34 Revere Street, reducing the side yard to approxi- <br />mately 18'3" instead of the required 20'. <br />Mrs. Ralph Schontag to continue operation of a kindergarten for <br />twelve or more children, five days a week, 9:00 a.m. to noon, at her home, <br />296 Woburn Street. <br />Nawal K. Tanaja and Carolyn C. Tanaja for a variance to maintain <br />the dwelling at 5 Russell Road with overhang of roof of house leaving <br />insufficient front yard in the amount of one foot, and front steps and <br />canopy leaving insufficient front yard in the amount of three feet. <br />Following the hearings the Board made the following decisions: <br />Vaughan K. and Margaret Bogosian - permission unanimously granted <br />to operate an electrical contracting business in the existing building with <br />the intention to operate with five trucks and ten men and subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />1. Hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., six days a week, except for <br />emergencies. <br />2. No noisy machines may be operated. Some fabrication may take <br />place but the building will be used mostly for storage, none of <br />it outside. <br />3. There will be no unusual lighting except for purposes of <br />protection. <br />Robert A. Bowyer - permission unanimously granted to maintain <br />present dwelling and garage with a front yard of 27'k' and to build an <br />addition with side yard of 13'10" instead of the required 15 ft. <br />
