J <br />BOARD OF APPEALS <br />September 8, 1970 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held <br />on Tuesday, September S, 1970, at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's <br />temporary meeting room, The Bird Room, Cary Memorial Building. <br />Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Sheldon, Dawes, <br />Wadsworth and associate member Morey. <br />The following petitions were heard: <br />Mrs. Ralph Schontag - permission to continue operation of a <br />kindergarten for twelve or°more children, five days a week, 9:00 a.m. <br />to noon, at her home, 296 Woburn Street. <br />Joseph F. Chabot_,, DVM - permission to maintain an existing <br />sign 6 ft. It in. x 4 ft., located at 3115 Massachusetts Avenue <br />and change the name to read: .Chabot Animal Hospital, Joseph F. <br />Chabot, DVM. <br />John F. Frazer - variance to construct a proposed garage to <br />be attached to the existing dwelling at 50 Hillcrest Avenue leaving <br />a front yard setback of 27 feet, more or less, instead of the <br />required 30 feet. <br />James P�K- variance to allow construction of a tool <br />shed which willill eve a rear yard of 4 feet 8 inches instead of <br />the required 15 feet on the premises at 3 Chase Avenue. <br />Anna Wallis - variance to permit the property at 537 Lowell <br />Street to be subdivided into two lots; one of which would have a <br />frontage of 150 ft. and an area of 25,800 sq. ft. instead of the <br />required 30,000 sq. £t., and a second lot which would have a frontage <br />of 310 ft. with an area of 22,200 sq. ft. instead of the required <br />30,000 sq. ft.' <br />Ida .,G. Krebs - permission to amend as follows the Special <br />Permit issued February 27, 1968: To add temporarily a prefabricated <br />classroom to the Krebs School at 453 Concord Avenue and to increase <br />to 50 the number of students allowed simultaneously to occupy the <br />school buildings as a whole. <br />Walnut Farm Trust - variance from Section 25 of the Zoning <br />By -Law to construct and operate for profit six enclosed tennis courts <br />with attached club house, parking for 70cars, lighting for driveway <br />and parking area and sign to be located on Lot A. said lot being <br />adjacent to 25 >Walnut Street and being bounded westerly and southerly <br />by land of Middlesex County and being included within an RO district. <br />At the close of the hearings, an executive session was held <br />during which the above requests were discussed and the following <br />decisions reached: <br />Mrs. Ralph Schontag - granted. <br />Joseph F. Chabot, DVM - granted. <br />John F. Frazer - granted. <br />James P. Kiley - denied. <br />
