BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />March 24, 1970 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, <br />March 24, 1970, at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. <br />Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Sheldon, Abbott, Dawes and <br />Associate member Emery. <br />The following petitions were heard: <br />Wilson Farm, Inc. - permission to continue to operate a roadside stand at <br />10 Pleasant Street. <br />St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church - permission to erect and maintain a sign <br />on the property located at 17 Meriam St. <br />A. Russell MacDonald - variance from provision of Sec. 27 of the Zoning By -Law <br />to slightly reduce the frontage of the lot of house at 10 Sheridan St., the <br />area of lot of house at 6 Sheridan St., the area of the lot of house at 41 <br />Grant St. in order to adjust the boundary line between these lots. <br />Sun 011 Company - special permit under Sec. 25.50 for the demolition of the <br />existing one -bay gasoline service station and the erection and operation'of <br />a two -bay service station to be located at 301 Massachusetts Ave. and Fottler <br />Ave. and a variance from Sec. 27 for a 1 foot rear yard instead of the required <br />' 20 feet. <br />Dunkin Donuts Franchising Corporation - permission to erect and maintain a <br />fascia sign, to be located at the front of the building and a Dunkin' Donuts <br />sign on the east side of the building to be located at 373 Waltham St. <br />Dunkin' Donuts Franchising Corporation - permission to erect and maintain a <br />6 ft. x 10 ft. sign and base at thesouthwest corner of 373 Waltham St. (corner <br />of Marrett Rd.). <br />Dunkin' Donuts Franchising Corporation - permission to erect and maintain a <br />6 ft. x 10 ft. sign and base at the easterly side of Waltham Street on premises <br />at 373 Waltham St. <br />At the close of the hearings, an executive session was held during which <br />the following decisions were made: <br />Wilson Farms, Inc. - granted. <br />St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church - granted. <br />A. Russell MacDonald - granted. <br />Sun Oil Company - granted. <br />Dunkin' Donuts (fascia sign and side of building) denied. <br />Dunkin' Donuts (6'x10' sign on Waltham St.) denied. <br />Dunkin' Donuts (6'x10' sign on Marrett Rd.) denied. <br />The Meeting adjourned at 8:50 p.m. <br />R.
