BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />September 121 1467 <br />' A regular meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Select- <br />men's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, September 12, 1967. Present <br />were regular members Charles Abbott, Dawes, Sheldon, Wadsworth and asso- <br />ciate member Brodhead. In the absence of Mr. Nickerson, who was recup- <br />erating from an operation, Mr. Abbott acted as Chairman. The hearings were <br />called to order at 7:32 since a previously advertised hearing for James <br />Lima had been withdrawn, as follows: <br />Thomas J. Driscoll - to vary the Lexington Zoning By -Law in order to <br />permit the reduction of area of the lot at 20 Cedar St. from 20,350 sq.ft. <br />to 12,150 sq.ft. which is less than the required 15,500 sq.ft. The remain- <br />ing land will be added to lot at 11 Lake St. to increase its area from <br />8,400 sq.ft. to 16,600 sq.ft. and its frontage from 80 to 160 ft. <br />Trustees of Hartwell Westview Trust - for a Finding and Determina- <br />tion that a proposed 80,000 sq.ft. building, located on a 14.03 acre lot, <br />located on the northwesterly side of Hartwell Ave. between Hartwell Ave. <br />and Westview St., bounded on the northeast by a 4.18 acre parcel of land <br />belonging to Amicon Corp., bounded on the southeast by a 5.0 acre parcel <br />belonging to Systems Development Corporation, and bounded on the south- <br />west by the Boston and Maine Railroad, all as shown on plan submitted <br />with application, will constitute a suitable development, and will not re- <br />sult in substantial detriment to the neighborhood. <br />Thomas A. Rosse - for a Finding and Determination that a proposed <br />100,000 sq.ft. building on a 20 acre lot located on the westerly side of <br />Hartwell Ave., Lexington, between Maguire Rd. and Wood St., to be leased <br />to Instrumentation Laboratory, Inc., will constitute a suitable develop- <br />ment and will not result in substantial detriment to the neighborhood. <br />Edward H. Bohemier - to vary the Lexington Zoning By -Law in order <br />to erect a swimming pool on property at 7 Cummings Ave. which would have <br />a 10 ft. rear yard instead of the required 15 ft. <br />John H. Millican - for permission to continue retail sale of <br />nursery stock and'allied products, such as small hand tools and plant <br />containers, at 93 Hancock St., and also to sell Christmas trees, wreaths, <br />etc. from December 10 to December 24: inclusive. <br />Donna Realty Trust - to vary the Lexington Zoning By -Law in order to <br />permit the construction of a house on a lot containing 5,655 sq.ft. <br />located at corner of Simonds and Dexter Rds. which would have a side yard <br />of 17 ft. instead of the required 20 ft. <br />John Sevpa - to vary the Lexington Zoning By -Law in, order to main- <br />tain garage at 5 Bryant Rd. which has a 29 ft. setback instead of the re- <br />quired 30 ft. and to erect a porch, one corner of which will have a set- <br />back of 24 ft. instead of the required,30 ft. <br />Following the hearings an executive session was held during which the <br />following decisions were made: <br />
