BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />August 2, 1966 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, <br />August 2, 1966 in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. Present <br />were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Hoyt, Sheldon and Wadsworth, <br />and associate member Blaisdell. Also present was the secretary, Mrs. <br />Macomber. Hearings were opened at 7:30 p.m. as follows: <br />George S. Grey - a variance in order to maintain a house at 1 <br />Sutherland Rd. with an 11' rear yard; and to build a screened porch on <br />the west side 10'x12' which would have the required rear yard but would <br />be 12'6" from the side line. <br />George T. Sullivan - a variance to build a 2 -car garage at 60 <br />Burlington St. which would be 9-1/2' from the rear lot line instead of <br />the required 15'. <br />Katherine J. Marotto - to erect a swimming pool at 5 Parker St. <br />which would have a 10' rear yard instead of the required 15'. <br />Morris N. and Astrid M. Kazanjian - a variance in order to <br />erect a garage on the east end of house at 6 Fiske Rd. which would have <br />a 24.9 ft. setback from the street and which would be 15.1 ft. from the <br />' property line but with an overhang only 13.9' from the property line. <br />Pasquale P. Barbieri - a variance in order to make a one -bedroom <br />apartment over garage and breezeway at 161 North St. to be used for <br />family use only and not to be rented. <br />Anthony P. Modoono and Rose M. Manna - for permission to build at <br />192 Woburn St. a greenhouse with connecting area, approx. 40' x 1001, <br />connecting area to run from existing building to greenhouse and to be <br />approximately 30' x 45'. Greenhouse will be used mainly for growing and <br />storage of plants. Also permission to add a fibreglass roof over apron <br />on front and side of building to give plants, etc. protection from <br />direct sun. <br />At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during <br />which the following decisions were made: <br />George S. Grey - granted <br />George T. Sullivan - denied <br />Katherine J. Marotto - granted <br />Morris N. and Astrid M. Kazanjian - granted <br />Pasquale P. Barbieri - denied <br />Anthony P. Modoono and Rose M. Manna - granted <br />All pertinent material with regard to above petitions is on file <br />in each individual folder. <br />A letter from the Planning Board was read with reference to the <br />recent petition of William F. Cowles for permission to stockpile loam <br />
