BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />' March 1, 1966 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, <br />March 1, 1966, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. Present <br />were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Hoyt•, Sheldon and Wadsworth, <br />associate member Mrs. Morey, and the secretary, Mrs. Macomber. At <br />7:30 p.m, the following petitions were heard: <br />Wilson Farm, Inc. - for permission to continue roadside stand <br />adjacent to #6 Pleasant St. <br />Lloyd H. Miller - for permission to continue operation of road- <br />side stand at 973 Concord Turnpike, also to sell Christmas trees, <br />wreaths, etc. in the appropriate season. <br />Robert 0. Tillinghast - for permission to use premises at 177 <br />and 183 Bedford St. for a commercial garage for sale and repair of <br />motor vehicles. Also to erect a free-standing sign approximately <br />5' x 7' . <br />Mark Management (Lexington Motor Inn) - for permission to erect <br />a temporary enclosure 12' x 30' for storage use until April, 1966, at <br />the Lexington Motor Inn. <br />Dr. Leonard V. Short - for a Finding and Determination that the <br />proposed construction of an office building to be located at 1050 Wal- <br />' tham St., Lexington, will constitute a desirable development, not <br />detrimental to the area. <br />Hazel H. Woodberry - to vary the Lexington Zoning By-law in <br />order to maintain house on recorded Lot #1 at 1454 Mass. Ave. and to <br />permit building upon recorded Lot #2, 1454 Mass. Ave., neither of <br />which has the legal frontage but does have the legal area. <br />Ellwood C. Barrett - for permission to move printing business <br />presently located at 21 Depot Sq., Lexington, in the C 2 - general <br />business district, to #5 Wallis Court, Lexington, which is also located <br />' <br />in the C 2 general business district. <br />William T. Hardy - for permission to raze present one-story <br />masonry building located at 915 Waltham St., Lexington, which is being <br />used as a gasoline service station and repair garage, and to replace <br />it with a Phillips Petroleum Company designed Colonial -type two -bay <br />gasoline service station with one bay extended to Massachusetts <br />inspection size, complete with two pump islands, underground storage <br />for gasoline, fuel and waste oil, perimeter lights, curb cuts, drives, <br />etc. as shown on accompanying plans, said new improvements to be used <br />as a gasoline and oil service station for the storage and dispensing <br />of gasoline, oil, oil products, petro -chemicals, automobile tires and <br />accessories, and other goods, wares and merchandise. <br />Robert 0.
