BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />November 9, 1965 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was <br />held on Tuesday, November 9, 1965. Due to a massive power failure <br />in the entire northeast section of the country, the meeting was held <br />in the Building Inspector's office, Town Office Building, which is <br />equipped with auxiliary lights. Present were Chairman Nickerson, <br />regular members Ripley and Hoyt, and associate members Duffy and Dawes. <br />The following petitions were scheduled to be heard: <br />William H. Sullivan - to vary the Lexington Zoning By-law <br />in order to decrease lot size at 7 Juniper Place by transferring <br />approximately 300 sq.ft. to lot 11 Juniper Place, which would leave lot <br />at 7 Juniper Place with approximately 15,200 sq.ft. instead of the re- <br />quired 15,500 sq.ft. <br />William Setterlund - to vary the Lexington Zoning By-law <br />in order to subdivide lot at 12 Utica St. into two lots; one would have <br />a frontage of 95 ft. and one a right-of-way frontage of 10 ft. instead <br />of the required 150 ft., with areas of 19,570 sq.ft. and 23,690 sq.ft. <br />respectively instead of the required 30,000 sq.ft. <br />Frederic K. Johnson - for permission to use a proposed new <br />building to be erected at 39 Bedford St. as a garage for the storage, <br />repair, and sales of motor vehicles. <br />Kennecott Copper Corp. - for a finding and determination that <br />the proposed wing addition to the laboratory building at Ledgemont <br />Laboratory of the Kennecott Copper Corporation and associated parking and <br />roads and proposed topographical changes are such that the proposed addi- <br />tions and modifications will constitute a suitable development and will <br />not result in substantial detriment to the neighborhood. <br />Wilson Farm - for permission to remove approximately 10,000 <br />yds. excess stone and gravel from land at Pleasant St. in conjunction with <br />improving farm land. <br />Due to the black -out only two of the petitioners appeared. <br />At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during which <br />the following decisions were reached. <br />Frederic K. Johnson - granted <br />Kennecott Copper Corp. - granted <br />The petitions of William H. Sullivan and William Setterlund were re- <br />scheduled for December 7 hearings. The petition of Wilson Farm was post- <br />poned pending a decision of the Selectmen as to action to be taken re: <br />' zoning violations <br />All pertinent material in regard to above petitions is on <br />
