329 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />' July 11, 1961 <br />The Board of Appeals held a regular meeting in the Selectmen's <br />Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, July 11, 1961. Present were <br />Chairman Nickerson, regular members Emery and Ballard, and associate <br />members Norris and Hoyt. At 7:30 p.m. hearings were declared open upon <br />the following petitions: <br />Johnstone Fitzgerald - to install a,12 ft. x 28 ft. swimming <br />pool at 16 Manley Ct. on the property of Charles Durkin, which would <br />result in insufficient rear yard. <br />Richard John O'Mara - to erect a dwelling at 67 Cliffe Ave. <br />which would not have suffic ent setback. <br />Richard J. Oram - to erect an addition with insufficient side <br />yard to non-confor-m-En-g-7welling at 160 Cedar St. <br />Janney Co. - to maintain the following existing free <br />standing signs at at junction of Marrett Rd. and Waltham St.: <br />One 4 ft. x 7 ft. Jenny Neon sign on 6" steel pole, one pair gasoline <br />credit card signs, one pair Diner's Club credit card signs, two metal <br />tire signs on two steel poles at edge of yard, and one Triple A sign on <br />' steel pole. <br />Jeno Mfg. Co. - to maintain one 4 ft. x 7 ft. illuminated <br />sign on on steei po a and one pair gasoline credit card signs at 34 <br />Bedford St. <br />Shell Oil Co. - to maintain existing movable swing type posted <br />panel and to install one 5 ft. plastic Shell hangout sign at 1095 Mass. <br />Ave. <br />Shell Oil Co. - *o maintain two 5 ft. plastic Shell hangout <br />signs and one movable swing type posted panel at 286 Lincoln St. <br />At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held dur., <br />ing which the following decisions were reached: <br />Johnstone Fitzgerald - granted <br />Richard John O'Mara - granted <br />Richard J. Oram - granted <br />Jenny Mfg. Co. - granted permission to maintain one 4 ft. x <br />7 ft. illuminated sign on 6" steel pole. <br />Jenny Mfg. Co. - granted permission to maintain one 4 ft. x <br />7 ft. illuminated sign on 6" steel pole. <br />Shell Oil Co. - granted permission to install one 5 ft. plastic <br />Shell hangout sign. <br />Shell DiI.Co. - granted permission to maintain use of one etist- <br />ing 5 ft. plastic Shell hangout sign. <br />All pertinent material with regard to the above petitions is on <br />file in each individual folder. <br />Ruth C.
