2123 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />' March 24, 1959 <br />The Board of Appeals held hearings on Tuesday, March 24, 1959, <br />in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on the following peti- <br />tions: <br />MIT Lincoln Laboratory - to erect a metal frame building 148 ft. <br />X 28 ft., plus a telephone pole antenna system at 238 Wood St. <br />Peacock Farms Association - to use the property held by the trus- <br />tees ot said Association as a -playground and private park for the resi- <br />dents of the Peacock Farms community, and to construct on this property, <br />Peacock Farm Road, a non-commercial and non-profit swimming pool, 75 ft. <br />long, 25 ft. wide at the deep end, and 45 ft. wide at the shallow end. <br />Tremarco Co oration - to erect a free standing sign for gaso- <br />line sere ee station at 324 Marrett Rd. and Waltham St. <br />Craft Cleanasrs - to erect three signs on the marquee of the <br />building oea cn bison Way and known as No -1707 Mass. Ave. <br />William T. Hardy - to construct and operate a retail gasoline <br />station, o nc a—oil and greasing station, and place of business for <br />the sale and installation of tires and other automotive accessories, and <br />garage for storage and repair of motor vehicles, on the lot of land at <br />the northwest corner of Waltham St. and Concord Ave. <br />William H. Hamilton - to subdivide a parcel of land on the corner <br />of Wo en. ass. ve. into two lots; lot A to have sufficient <br />frontage and area, lot B to have sufficient frontage but insufficient <br />area. <br />At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during <br />which the following decisions were reached; <br />MIT Lincoln Laboratory - granted <br />Peacock Farms Assn. - granted <br />Tremarco Corp. - denied <br />Craft Cleanswers - denied <br />William T. Hardy - denied <br />William H. Hamilton - denied <br />All pertinent material with regard to the above petitions is on <br />file in each individual folder. <br />Thelma G. Reed, Clerk <br />
