4-J3 <br />BDARD OF APPKUS H8'ARINOS <br />February 5,1957 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, February <br />51 1957 in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. At 8:00 p.m. <br />hearings were declared open on thekfollowing petitions: <br />Palladino Bros. Co. - to conduct a contracting arra landscaping <br />business, nc u ngs ockpiling and sale of loam, fill, sandand gravel <br />ona parcel of land located on Massachusetts Ave. starting at 201 and <br />proceeding easterly on Mass. Ave. for a distance of 479 ft. more or less. <br />Richard H. Singleton - to vary the Lexington Zoning By-law in <br />order ro'maintaln. tool Souse at 379 Woburn St. which is located on the <br />rear lot line and 15 ft. from the side lot line. <br />F. P. Morgan Co. - to erect one real estate sign 8 x 10 ft. on the <br />proper nowco ro ed by Stephen Hopkins et ale, and comprising approx. <br />18 acres, located at the northwest corner of the intersection of Rte. <br />128 and Mass. Ave. This sign would be located about 50 ft. in from the <br />State Highway fence on the west side of Rte. 128 and approx. 200 ft. <br />south from the intersection of Mass. Ave. and Rte. 128. <br />' N.E. Tel. and Tel. Co. - to erect a one-story addition, approx. <br />20 ft. by 70 ft. on a rear of the Dial Telephone Exchange Building <br />on premises numbered 73 Waltham St., said premises being in a C 2 gen- <br />eral business district, under Sec. 5(a)7.e. of the Zoning by-law of the <br />Town of Lexington. <br />Carol H. Ingraham - to operate a pre-school class for 5 -year-olds <br />♦t #5 g .., LeXlngt0n. <br />At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during <br />which the following decisions were reached: <br />Palladino Bros. Co. - granted, subject to the following conditions: <br />(1) this permit will expire June 20, 1957. (2) all materials shall be <br />tracked to and from the property by way of ache driveway entering on to <br />Bow St. and any loose material dropped from the trucks on to Bow St. <br />shall be promptly removed from the street. (3) the hours of operation <br />shall be restricted from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. six days a week. (4) Water, <br />or a sprinkler system shall be used to control dust, especially on the <br />driveway leading to Bow St. (5) there shall be no expansion of the <br />present operation. (6) only equipment regularly used in the business <br />shall be parked or stored on the premises. (7) the premises shall at all <br />times be kept in a neat and orderly condition. (8) all material dropped <br />on Bow St. and Mass. Ave. contiguous to this property shall be removed <br />at once by this petitioner. <br />Richard H.
