109 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS HEARMS <br />June 26, 1956 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, dune 26, <br />195 in the Selectmenfs Room, Town Office Building. At 8s0o p.m. <br />hearings were declared open upon the following petitions <br />Bernard C.. Maloney- to erect a free standing sign 8+ x 41 <br />located a"E-327Woburn 8t. which would be illmsinated with fluorescent <br />tubes. <br />Rosewell M. Boutwell - to erect a free standing sign 61 x 5+ at <br />55 Mass. ve. not conform to the Building By-law. <br />Charles L. Hibbol Jr. - to so design all walls of the all-pur- <br />pose roam at the Jos WEard HWden Raoreation Centre, 24 Lincoln <br />St. so that they will be 160 thick instead of 24" thick; the long walls <br />of the Boys? and Girls' Club wings so that they would be 12" thick <br />instead of 16" thiole; and ally xterior and interior foundations so <br />that they need to be no thicker than the walls above these; with the <br />specific provision that these foundation walls shall be steel rein- <br />forced in accordance with the best engineering practice, substantially <br />in accordance with the floor plans submitted. <br />' Donald and Ma Col itts - to subdivide a lot of land located at <br />1099 iasis. Ave. � o a 10 ft. frontage on Mass. Ave. but having <br />a 206 ft. frontage on Maple St. so that the rear part of the lot would <br />be cut off to form a new lot "A2 -B" having a frontage on Maple St. of <br />103 ft., a depth of approximately 250 ft., and an area of 280600 sq. <br />ft. and that permission be granted to erect a single family dwelling <br />on this lot, having the necessary front and side yards. According to <br />the Colpitts request, they would be allowed to maintain the existing <br />house and garage an Lot "A2 -A". <br />At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during <br />which the following decisions were rescheds <br />Bernard C. Maloney - denied <br />Roswell M. Boutwell - denied <br />Charles L. Hibbard, Jr. - granted <br />Donsld and Madge Colpitts - granted <br />Muriel C. Stone, <br />Clark <br />
