ffl <br />BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />February 28, 1956 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, February <br />28, 1956 in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. At 8:00 p.m. <br />hearings were declared open on the following petitions: <br />Marcia W. A. Dane - to make additions to non -c nforming dwelling <br />at 18 Albemarle Ave. <br />Stanley Hill Post #38 American Legion - to erect a building, ranch type, <br />approximatelY 401 x to be used as a meeting place, located at 755 <br />Marrett Rd. The building would be used solely for meetings and social <br />gatherings of the Legion and for the Auxiliary. <br />Roman Catholic Archbishop of Boston Corporation Sale - to erect a <br />church bun ing at Mass. Ave. substantially in accordance with the plot <br />plan submitted, and to maintain the existing building at 1993 Mass. Ave. and <br />the present rectory. Permission is also requested to use 2" wood plank in <br />the roof construction; the steel columns supporting the roof construction not <br />to be fireproofed, and the tower at the main roof to be wood and steel con- <br />struction; also that the balcony may be of wood and concrete construction. <br />The construction of the concrete foundation sidewalls may be as requested and <br />as detailed above. Permission is also requested to vary the Building By-law in <br />' respect to area limitations in relation to street frontages. <br />Edward J. Goodfellow - to use Lot #2 with frontage of 38.30 ft. on <br />Grove St. as a building lot <br />Alvin's Inc -Richard Nessen - to erect new sign at 20 Waltham St. <br />which would not conform with t e Building By-law as to width. <br />Peter Ronchetti - to erect an addition 17' x 15' to existing dwell- <br />ing at 193 Blossom SE -. which would be 26 ft. from Blossom St. instead of 30 <br />ft. as required. <br />At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during <br />which the following decision were reached: <br />Marcia W. A. Dane -.granted <br />Stanley Hill Post #38 American Legion - denied <br />Roman Catholic Archbishop of Boston Corporation Sale - granted, subject <br />to the following conditions: (1) that the existing church be removed on com- <br />pletion of the new church; (2) that the existing house at 1993 Mass. Ave. be <br />removed as soon as rights under the life tenancy expire, (3) that there shall <br />be no parking of vehicles on any of the driveways. <br />' Edward J.
