75 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />November 15, 1955 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the <br />Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, November 15, <br />1955 <br />At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open on the following <br />petitions: <br />Albert W. Dillon - to erect a two-bedroom addition 14' x 22' <br />attached to existing dwelling at 8 Balfour St. which would have a <br />sideyard of 10 ft. instead of 15 ft. as required under the Zoning <br />By-law. <br />Countryside,, Inc. - to erect a building consisting of four <br />stores 16t Lowell and Woburn Sts. connecting the existing garage and <br />the existing store building, which would come to within 11 ft. of the <br />rear lot line. . <br />Wal -Lex Motor Co. Inc - to use the land adjacent to the garage <br />and salesroom now situated at 915 Waltham St. for the sale of new and <br />used cars, subject to the following conditions: (1) that not more than <br />15 cars shall be displayed at any one time; (2) that cars offered for <br />' sale shall be set back from Waltham St. in line with the front of the <br />present showroom; (3) that all repair work and storage of parts and <br />equipment shall be within the building; (4) that the existing string of <br />lights shall be removed, and that the flood lights located on the pole <br />shall be so focused as not to interfere with traffic on the highway or <br />be a nuisance to the neighbors; (5) there shall be no second-hand car <br />signs; (6) the premises shall be closed and the lights extinguished by <br />9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday -and at 5:OO p.m. on Saturday, and the <br />premises shall be closed all day Sunday to customers and visitors. <br />Ernest E. Outhet - to erect a single family dwelling at 61A <br />_Harding Rd. <br />Ernest E. Outhet - to erect a single family dwelling at 99 <br />Gleason R . <br />At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during <br />which the following decisions were made: <br />Albert W. Dillon - granted <br />Countryside, Inc. - granted, providing construction shall commence <br />not later than November 1, 1956. <br />Wal -Lex Motor Co., Inc. - granted with above conditions <br />' Ernest E. Outhet (2) - granted, provided that each sideyard shall <br />not be less than 8 feet and the setback and rear yard shall comply with <br />the requirements of the Lexington Zoning and Building By-laws. <br />Muriel C.
