W <br />BGAIM OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />' June 2, 1955 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's <br />Room, Town Office Building, Tuesday, June 2, 1955 <br />At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open upon the following <br />hearings: <br />Nicole L. Anastasy - to reduce the existing frontage of Lot A-9 <br />located at ld7 Grove St. to not less than 100 ft. so as to allow the <br />construction of a road 50 feet wide to the proposed subdivision of land <br />in the rear of Lot A-9. <br />M. J. Aruda - to enlarge the existing gas station at 329 Mass. <br />Ave. <br />L. G. Holmes - to subdivide Lot #3, 17 Barnes Place, by adding <br />3 ft. to Lot #4 in order to provide easier access to garage located at <br />the rear of Lot #4. <br />Socony Mobil Oil Co.,Inc. - to make alterations substantially as <br />shown on p of plan submitted at their Service Station located at the <br />corner of Waltham St. and Marrett Rd. <br />' William R. Dini - to install a bathroom and kitchen on the third <br />floor atlb6 Bedlo=St. <br />Mass. Institute of Technology - to raise the existing tower <br />located at M.I.T. =ie Station 230 Wood St. from .resent height of 125 <br />ft. to a new height of 180.2 ft. <br />At the close of the hearings an executive session was held and <br />the following decisions rendered: <br />Nicole L. Anastasy - granted <br />M. J. Aruda - granted <br />L. G. Holmes - granted <br />Socony Mobil Oil Co., Inc. granted - subject to the following <br />conditions: (1) that all lights installed on the property shall be so <br />focused and directed as not to be objectionable to traffic and the neigh- <br />borhood; (2) the premises to be kept in a neat and orderly condition at <br />all times. <br />Wm. R. Dini - denied <br />Mass. Institute of Technology - granted, subject to the condition <br />that this permit shall expire and the tower shall be removed not later <br />than February 1, 1958. <br />Muriel C.
