257 <br />I <br />BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />September 18, 1955 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's <br />Room, Town Office Building, Lexington, on September 18, 1953. <br />At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open upon the following <br />petitions: <br />New England Tel. & Tel. Co. - to erect a one-story brick build- <br />ing wit basement o first c ass construction on the northwesterly <br />corner of Patriots Drive snd Merriam St., to be used as a Dial Tele- <br />phone Exchange. <br />Mass. Inst. of Technology - to erect and maintain on the hill <br />west of Laconia St. a tower supporting a radar antenna not more than <br />sixty feet high; to erect a radio antenna Mast not more than sixty <br />feet high; and to erect a one-story building 26' x 40' of prefabricated <br />construction, all to be enclosed in a chain link fence surrounding an <br />area 100' x 1001. <br />John C. N and - to erect a single family dwelling at 59 Out- <br />look Drive, on the lot as presently laid out and in accordance with <br />the plot plan submitted. <br />' <br />John H. Millican - to build a steel frame greenhouse at 93 Han- <br />cock St. as shown on the plot plan submitted. <br />Universal Builders Inc. - to maintain the foundation now located <br />on Lot Re Coat <br />Clifford G. Hunt - to remove the loam at the rear of #14 Muzzey <br />Street. <br />Herbert Abbott - to erect a storage warehouse 30' x 40' at #922 <br />Waltham w c would be located less than 20 feet from the rear <br />line. <br />At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held dur- <br />ing which the following decisions were reached: <br />N.E. Tel. & Tel. Co. - Denied <br />Mass. Inst. of Technology - Granted - subject to the following <br />conditions: 1) that a survey was being made to determine the exact <br />location, and to determine the location of the road which must be con- <br />structed to the area; . 2) that they would repair any damage to private <br />rights of way caused by trucking and traffic in making the installa- <br />tion and removing it; 3) that this Permit shall expire, and all of <br />the towers, masts, structures and fence shall be removed by October 1, <br />' <br />1955. <br />John C.
