21 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS <br />March 26, 1953 <br />i <br />The Lexington Board of Appeals held public hearings on March 26, 1953 <br />on the following petitions: <br />Wallace Weisin er - to erect a two -car garage of second class con- <br />struction at 1517 Bedford St. <br />James P. Cassim - to convert the single family dwelling located at <br />342 Bedford St. into a two-family dwelling, in accordance with plans sub- <br />mitted and in compliance with the Lexinton Building By-law. <br />Walter A. Arnold - to erect a carport attached to the existing <br />dwelling at 72 Ml=e St. <br />Mass. Institute of Technology - to erect a transmitter pole 90 feet <br />high wi anchor guys, located on south corner of Field Station, #238 Wood <br />St., also modification of antenna on same, for a period of three years from <br />date. <br />E. L. Sharkey (Raytheon) - to continue the use and extend for two <br />years, beginning Marcia 20, 53, the premises on Lot ##11, 16 Hazel Rd. as <br />the site of microwave transmitting equipment, including specifically a <br />long range calibration unit which is already installed. <br />John F. MacNeil - to cut in opening in divided partition of store <br />located a - Massachusetts Ave. <br />Westlex Corporation - toremove sand and gravel to a level of the <br />grade of Westview St. at the Boston & Maine Railroad crossing, from that <br />portion of the land of Westlex Corp., shown on the submitted plan, bounded <br />by Mellex Rd., land of Melanson, land of Linehan, the Boston & Maine <br />RR spur to the Bedford Airport, and an abandoned roadway extension of <br />Mellex Rd. <br />Following the hearings the following decisions were reached during an <br />Executive Session: <br />i <br />Wallace Weisinger - granted <br />James P. Cassim - granted <br />Walter A. Arnold - denied <br />Mass. Institute of Technology - granted <br />E. L. Sharkey - granted <br />John F. MacNeil - denied <br />Westlex Corp. - granted subject to the following conditions: 1. that <br />the petitioner will furnish the Town Engineer with a Civil Engineer's <br />statement of the number of cubic yards of sand and gravel remaining on the <br />property at this date and that the petitioner will submit a statement of <br />the number of cubic yards removed from this property until it is levelled <br />to the grade of Westview St. 2. that the petitioner will fur.;sh a binding <br />promise to the Town Engineer that there will henceforth be removed from the <br />
