BOARD OF APPEALS HEARUGS <br />' May 6, 1949 <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's <br />Room, Town Office Building, on May 6, 1949. Chairman Locke, <br />Messrs. Houdlette, Redman, Lynah and Ripley were present. The! clerk <br />was also present. <br />At 8:02 p.m. hearings were declared open on the following <br />petitions: <br />Howard F. Baldwin for permission to erect, at 1 Briggsad, <br />a dwelling and garage which would not have the required side y4rd. <br />Bessie 0. Withrow for permission to operate a gift and antique <br />shop in one room of the guest house at 73 Waltham Street. <br />Doris Bowker for permission to erect, on Lot C Cherry St eek <br />a tiro -car garage which would not have the required setback froo the <br />street. <br />David Buttrick Co. for permission to erect, at 384 Bedford <br />Street, a bulletin -type sign, 231 x 8-1/21, illuminated by 3 gojase- <br />neck reflectors with 150 -watt bulbs, supported on wooden posts,j70, <br />' back from the street line. <br />The hearings were declared closed at 9:01 p.m. and the folow- <br />ing decisions reached in executive session: <br />David Buttrick Co - unanimously denied <br />Doris Bowker - unanimously denied <br />Bessie Withrow - unanimously granted <br />Howard Baldwin - unanimously granted <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:55 p.m. <br />Catherine Parello, Clerk <br />U <br />87" <br />
