24 1 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING <br />APRIL 60 1934. ' <br />The meeting was called to order at 8 P.M. <br />Mesrrs. Maddison, Ferguson, Hatch and Glynn were <br />present. Mr. C. Edward Glynn was appointed to act as <br />Clerk, Pro -tem. <br />The hearing on petition of the School Committee for <br />addition to the High School was opened. The Clerk Pro - <br />tem read the notice of the hearing and stated it had been <br />pulilished in the Lexington Minute -Man and copy sent to all <br />parties considered to be interested. The School Committee <br />was represented by Randall B. Houghton, Chairman of the <br />School Committee, Thomas S. Grindle, Supt. of Schools, and <br />Wi-lliam Roger Greeley, Architect, who presented blue print <br />of the proposed addition to the 4gh School. <br />No one appeared in opposition. <br />The Board in private session moved and voted unanimously <br />that the petition be granted in the following form, Mr. <br />Robbins having requested to be recorded in favor; <br />BOARD OF APPEALS PERMIT. ' <br />The Board of Appeals, acting under General Laws, <br />Chapter 40, section 27, having receiv6d a written petition <br />addressed to it by Randall B. Houghton, a copy of which <br />is hereto annexed, held a public hearing thereon of which <br />notice was mailed to the petitioner and to the owners of <br />all property deemed by the Board to be affected thereby as <br />they appear on the most recent local tax list and also <br />advertised in the Lexington Minute -Man, a newspaper published <br />in Lexington, which hearing was held in the Selectmen's <br />Room, in the Town Office Building on the 6th day of April, <br />1934. <br />Messrs. Maddison, Glynn, Ferguson and Hatah of the <br />Board of Appeals were present at the hearing. A certificate <br />of notice is hereto annexed. At this hearing evidence was <br />offered on behalf of the petitioner tending to show; that <br />the School Committee has been authorized by the Town to <br />erect a one story addition to the High School about 32 <br />feet in width and 92 feet in length extending from the rear <br />toward the Railroad and about 30 feet from the gymnasium <br />ell of the present building, to be constructed of light <br />brick with metal sash, and wooden roof, foundation to be ■ <br />concrete. <br />No one appeared in opposition. <br />
