20 <br />BOARD OF APPEALS MEETING ' <br />MARCH 30th, 1934. <br />A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held at the <br />Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 8 P.M. Messrs. <br />Maddison, Glynn, Baldrey, Ferguson and Robbins were present. <br />The Secretary was also present. <br />The Clerk, Howard VV. Robbins, read the notice of the <br />hearing as printed in the Lexington Minute -Man. <br />Hearing was declared open on the application of George <br />Scott for permission to maintain a store for the retail sale <br />of grain and seeds at 18 and 19 Depot Snuare. <br />Mr. Miller was present and represented Mr. Scott. He <br />stated that the stores were vacant now and they had a party <br />who wanted to rent the store for a seed and grain store and <br />they found that it was necessary to have a hearing before <br />the Board of Appeals in order to do so. He did not think <br />that there would be any detriment in having this store. <br />He stated that there would be some change in the windows <br />of the building and that it was not their intention to <br />have any processing, that it was simply for the retail sale <br />of seeds and grain. He stated that theydesired to have <br />local people rent the stores if possible and they would <br />like to have all the stores in Depot Square filled up. <br />He stated that he did not know the name of the pRrty who <br />was to rent the premises, but he agreed to send the name <br />in to the office. <br />The Chairman informed him that it was customary to grant <br />a permit dnrtng the occupancy of -the premises by the tenant. <br />The hearing was declared closed and it was voted to grant <br />the permit to George Scott in the following form: <br />BOARD OF APPEALS PERMIT <br />The Board of Appeals,'acting under General Laws, <br />Chapter 40, Section 27, having redeived a written petition <br />addressed to it by George Scott a copy of which is hereto <br />annexed, held a public hearing thereon of which.notice <br />was mailed to the petitioner and to the owners of all <br />property deemed by the Board to be affected thereby as <br />they appear on the most recent local tax list and also <br />advertised in the Lexington Minute -Man a newspaper published <br />in Lexington, which hearing was held in the Selectmen's <br />Room, in the Town Office Building on the 30th day of March <br />1934. <br />All of the members of the Board of Appeals were present <br />at the hearing.
