AM <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING • <br />April 2, 1942 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was <br />held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, <br />at 7:30 P.M. Chairman Giroux, 4nd Messrs. Potter, <br />Rowse, and Sarano were present. Mr. Locke appeared <br />at 8:00 P.M. <br />I' <br />The matter of replacement of police cars was dis- <br />Police <br />cussed, and the opinion was expressed that we would be <br />Cars <br />unable to secure new cars at the present time. It was <br />decided to suggest to the Chief that the bulk of the <br />departmental work be done with one car, <br />It was voted to instruct Mr. Paxton to restore <br />Cranston <br />Mr. Cranston's garden on Hill Street to its previous <br />garden <br />condition, charging the cost to the Committee on <br />Public Safety. <br />The Board signed the application of Elizabeth <br />Whalen of 250 Mass. Ave., Lexington, for permission <br />to Board infants. <br />The Board signed an agreement drawn by Mr. Wright- <br />ington permitting the Town to build a road from Mr. <br />Cranston <br />Cranston's driveway to the Observation Tower, and <br />Agreement <br />also to lay a water pipe from Mr. Cranston's service <br />to the Tower. Mr. Cranston had previously signed the <br />agreement. <br />At 8:00 P.M. the following citizens appeared be- <br />fore the Board in relation to the complaint on flies <br />E <br />in the vicinity of the Battle Green Village develop - <br />Flies <br />ment: Elmer C. Tyres, Mrs. Donald B. <br />w <br />Harter, John Sullivan. <br />Mr. John Lamont, Health Inspector, and a Mr. <br />Wales, representing the State Department of Public <br />Health, were present.
