452 <br />SELECTMEN'S MEETING <br />March 23, 1942 <br />A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held <br />in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building on Monday, <br />March 23, 1942 at 7:30 P.M. Chairman Giroux, Messrs. <br />Rowse, Locke, and Sarano were present. The Clerk was <br />also present. <br />The following members of the Appropriation Committee <br />were present: Lewis L. Hoyt, Raymond A. Bond, George M. <br />Hynes, Richard W. Maynard, Robert J. Fawcett, and Ronald <br />D. Brown. <br />The Chairman presented a bill of $615.39 for print- <br />ing the Town Report. An additional charge of $50.00 <br />was included and he said that this was due largely to <br />the fact that when the contract was agreed upon, it was <br />based on last year's books and in the Accountant's book <br />then there were two rows of figures and this year the <br />Accountant had three rows to a page. He thought the bill <br />was a fair one. Both Boards approved of it. <br />• <br />The Chairman said that both Boards had approved the <br />sum. of $300.00 for the salary of the Milk Inspector. • <br />Last year it was voted to pay him an annual salary of <br />Milk 0400.00 for this position and only $300.00 was appro <br />Insp. priated because the arrangement did not go into effect <br />until April lst. Thlb year $400.00 rather than $300.00 <br />should be appropriated. It.was decided to appropriate <br />the $400.00, <br />The Chairman said that the sum of $750.00 had been <br />approved for Forest Fires and the State.Forest Warden <br />Forest recommended that an additional 6100.00 be appropriated <br />Fires for Forest Fire Patrol. It was decided to change this <br />appropriation from 0750.00 to $B50.00. <br />It was decided to request an appropration of <br />$12,500.00 for Snow Removal, <br />The Chairman read a letter from Mr. Wrightington <br />Sewer relative to transferring funds from the W.P.A. Sewer <br />Unempl. Account for a sewer project to be operated with wel- <br />Relief fare recipients. Mr. Wrightington said that this <br />Project could be done. Both Boards approved transferring <br />$10,000.00 from the W.P.A. Sewer Account for a Sewer <br />Unemployment Relief Project. <br />0 <br />
