He said heavy trucks drove over the lot and as a result it <br />' is six inches lower than it was. He said water flows down <br />the street and across the lot. He said that the Town put <br />in a small sidewalk to stop the water but it was not a <br />permanent remedy. <br />Mr. Raymond said the agreement which the Bullock <br />heirs signed was never executed by the Town as it was <br />not satisfactory so the Town had to make a taking and <br />the taking is what is in affect. <br />Mr. Bullock said that no mention had been made of the <br />removal of two elm trees but Mr. Raymond said the taking <br />included the removal of those trees. <br />The Chairman asked Mr. Bullock what he wanted the Town <br />to do and he replied he wanted the lot graded and seeded so <br />the water would not flow down over it. He said that he had <br />an excellent garden there for four years but that it would <br />be no good for gardening now. He was without the use of <br />the lot for two years. The Chairman told him the matter <br />would be reconsidered and he retired at 8:27 P. M. <br />Mr. Raymond said it would cost about 6150.00 to grade <br />and seed the lot and another 6lbO.00 for drainage. After <br />some discussion, Mr. Paxton was instructed to call on Mr. <br />Bullock and tell him that the Board would approve grading <br />and seeding the lot provided he would give the Town a re- <br />lease of all clams for damages. <br />Mr. Ray mond retired at 8:35 P. M. <br />' Letter was received from Elmer A. Lord & Co. suggesting <br />that a schedule of charges be submitted to the Board so that <br />it might'again consider the matter of including sprinkler <br />leakage insurance on contents of school buildings and of <br />the Public Works Building. The Clerk was requested to ask <br />that such a list be submitted for the Board's consideration. <br />The Board discussed rates to be charged for the use <br />of the ambulance. It was the feeling of the Board that <br />a charge should be made if the patient was not a welfare <br />or an accident case. <br />Mr. Paxton said that if the Board desired to bill <br />for the use of the ambulance, the committee felt that it <br />should be at the rate of $3.00 per hour. <br />Mr. Potter moved that the rate of $3.00 per hour be <br />established with a minimum of $5.00 per trip and that the <br />ambulance only be used in time of emergency. <br />Mr. Locke seconded the motion, and it was so voted <br />The Chairman informed the Board that the balance in <br />the unclassified account was $43.65. The estimate for fur- <br />nishing candles for the side windows of the Town Office <br />Building and the Bary Memorial Building is (30.00. <br />' Mr. Potter moved that the additional lights.be pur- <br />chased and the expense be charged to the Unclassified <br />Account.
