<br />A special meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held
<br />in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, at 7:30 P.M.
<br />Chailn.an Giroux, and Messrs, Sarano, Locke, and Rowse were
<br />present. The Clerk was also present.

<br />Gentlemen:
<br />The Board of Survey of Lexington have examined the Plan
<br />of Land in Lexington, Mass. Belonging to Lexington Ridge, Inc.,
<br />dated June 24, 1940, John F. Rand, Civil Eng'r., Melrose,
<br />4nd would now be willing to endorse on it their approval upon
<br />receipt of the agreement and bond with respect thereto required
<br />C
<br />Mr. Lloyd C. Morang, and Mr. Ralph E. Harris, represent-
<br />ing the Lexington Ridge, Inc., and Mr. Paxton appeared be-
<br />fore the Board.. They presented an agreement and bond with
<br />respect to the Plan of Land in Lexington, belonging to
<br />Lexington Ridge, Inc., and date June 24, 1940, as required
<br />by Article V, section 2 (a) of the Building By -lay of Lex-
<br />ington. They said that because of the construction require-
<br />ments of said By-law, they had decided at this time to
<br />submit for approval a plan of only one section of the total
<br />development. Mr. Paxton said that if the entire develop-
<br />ment had been accepted, it would have been necessary to
<br />construct all the streets, and install all the drainage
<br />before putting in any houses. He said that this agreement
<br />was exactly the same as Mr. Wrightington drew up.
<br />He said that Messrs. Raymond, Cosgrove, Wrightington and
<br />himself had seen the agreement and approved of it.

<br />Mr. Rowse moved that the Board of Survey approve the
<br />"Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass. belonging to Lexington
<br />Ridge, Inc., dated May 16, 1940, John F. Rand, Civil Eng'r.
<br />Melrose". Mr. Locke seconded the motion and it was
<br />so voted.
<br />Upon motion of Mr. Rowse, seconded by Mr. Sarano, it
<br />was voted to authorize the Clerk to send the following
<br />letter to the F.H.A.
